AARP partners with STUDIO 60 to provide a location for two of their major programs, Tax-Aide tax preparation, and their Driver Safety Class.

Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Fridays, 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Due to the volume of clientele served at the STUDIO 60 Senior Center Tax Aide site, we do not accept appointment requests by phone. Our process is for you to come in person, complete an appointment request, and pick up your tax packet to take home and complete at your convenience BEFORE your appointment. A packet must be completed for EACH year of taxes we prepare for you. Packets may be picked up at any time during our regular hours of operation, as listed above.
Once your request is made, you will be called back in order of your desired appointment date, starting with February, then March, then April. Please be patient while we process your callback request, as our client volume is high. Please ensure your voicemail is active and not full; otherwise, you may not receive our call. Our callback to you will come from 256-513-8291.
Please don’t wait until all your tax documents are in hand to make an appointment. The schedule fills up fast. You can request a late March or early April appointment if you’re waiting on documents, but please note you may not be called until after most of our February appointments are scheduled. Appointment inquiry calls to us will not speed up the process. We will get back to everyone.
Due to our very tight schedule at this location, if your tax intake packet is incomplete when you arrive for your appointment, you may need to be rescheduled.

Driver Safety
The AARP Driver Safety Program teaches proven driving techniques to help keep everyone safe on the roads. Topics discussed include driving while on medication, reducing driver distractions, maintaining a safe distance between vehicles, proper use of safety belts, airbags, and anti-lock brakes, and techniques for left-hand turns, roundabouts, and the rules of right-of-way. Insurance discounts are often awarded for completing the course.
