AARP partners with STUDIO 60 to provide a location for two of their major programs, Tax-Aide tax preparation, and their Driver Safety Class.

The AARP Tax Aide volunteers finished up a successful season in April. We are now closed until January when we will begin handing out tax preparation packets for the next tax year and making early appointments. Please watch for Tax Aide articles in the Senior Life magazine beginning in September 2025, when we will kick off our annual recruiting campaign for new volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering with Tax Aide as a tax preparer, greeter or assisting with the appointment process, please email Diana Klaube, District Communications Coordinator at ladydi0505@live.com. Remember, we provide all of the training and materials necessary to certify for this program.

Driver Safety
The AARP Driver Safety Program teaches proven driving techniques to help keep everyone safe on the roads. Topics discussed include driving while on medication, reducing driver distractions, maintaining a safe distance between vehicles, proper use of safety belts, airbags, and anti-lock brakes, and techniques for left-hand turns, roundabouts, and the rules of right-of-way. Insurance discounts are often awarded for completing the course.
