A Night at the Theatre – August 17, 2024

Join me for an evening of fun and laughs! Renegade Players Theatre Company is a new professional theatre group in Huntsville. Their debut production is a comedy titled “The Play That Goes Wrong.”  Before the show, we will enjoy a three-course dinner at Rhythm on Monroe, located inside the VBC.

Cost: $65 includes dinner, all gratuities, and show tickets

General Jackson Showboat – August 21, 2024

Come sail away with us aboard the General Jackson Showboat in Nashville, TN! Enjoy a buffet lunch while listening to some of Nashville’s finest musicians and singers in the Victorian Theatre.

Cost: $150 per person. Includes round-trip motorcoach transportation, showboat tickets with lunch, and all gratuities. A $50 deposit is due at the time of registration. Final payment due July 8, 2024.  WAITLIST ONLY

ROLL TIDE!  – SEPTEMBER 12, 2024 

Calling all Alabama fans… Join us as we head to Tuscaloosa to explore Alabama football! Our first stop is the Paul Bryant Museum which houses artifacts and memorabilia that trace the long history of University of Alabama football. Our next stop is Bryant-Denny Stadium for a behind-the-scenes guided tour! The tour includes a special look at several areas including the home team locker room, the recruiting room, a walk by the field, and more. You will also have time to visit Denny Chimes and the new elephant statue, Tuska. Lunch at the original Dreamland BBQ is included. We will stop for ice cream at Reeve’s Farm on the drive home.

Cost: $130 per person includes motorcoach transportation, museum admission, tour, lunch, and all gratuities. Deposit of $50 due at time of registration. Final payment due August 2, 2024.

 

SPOOKY SAVANNAH! – OCTOBER 21 – 24, 2024

October is the perfect time to visit Savannah – the most haunted city in America. Upon arrival on the 21st, we will have dinner at Lady & Sons before settling into our hotel in the historic district. On our first day we will get acquainted with the city on a bus tour of Savannah with a local guide, followed by lunch at one of the most haunted restaurants in town, the Pirate’s House. There is free time for shopping and dinner before we finish out the evening with a Ghosts and Gravestones trolley ride. On the morning of the 23rd we take a golf cart tour of the 103-acre Bonaventure Cemetery and learn about some of Savannah’s most notable citizens. We will also include a visit to the famous Byrd’s Cookies flagship store and free time for shopping. Our farewell dinner and entertainment will be aboard the Georgia Queen riverboat. 

Cost: $910 per person double, $1295 single includes motorcoach transportation, 3-night hotel stay with breakfast, Lady & Sons dinner, step-on tour, lunch at the Pirate’s House, Ghost and Gravestones trolley ride, tour of Bonaventure Cemetery, riverboat cruise with dinner, plus all gratuities. $100 deposit is due at time of registration. Final payment due September 6, 2024.

 

ORANGE BEACH!  NOVEMBER 11-14, 2024


Feel like a kid again on our relaxing trip to the Gulf Coast! It starts with the drive south – Durbin Farms will be one of our stops! When we reach Foley, we will have a group dinner at Lambert’s before stopping at Publix to pick up beach snacks. Then we will check into our oceanfront accommodations for the next 3 nights. After dark, bring a towel and flashlight to the beach for some stargazing. The next morning, sleep in or enjoy an early-morning stroll on the beach. Boxed lunches will be delivered to us. After lunch, we will offer an optional trip to the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida. Dinner will be on your own at the Wharf where you can

enjoy some shopping and perhaps take a ride on the Ferris Wheel! The morning of the 13th is another lazy start. Around noon, those who wish to will head to the Tanger Outlets in Foley for shopping and lunch. We will make a stop at Souvenir City in Gulf Shores for shopping and a photo in front of the giant shark mouth. We with gather for our farewell dinner at Bubba’s Seafood House before heading to Adventureland for mini golf. The journey home the next morning includes a stop at the Peach Park in Clanton. 

 

Cost: $695 per person double, $975 single includes motorcoach transportation, 3-night

oceanfront accommodation with breakfast, dinner at Lambert’s, boxed lunches on the 12th, farewell dinner at Bubba’s, and mini golf.
